How is Obama evil in regards to the gulf oil spill?

I ask because I’ve seen this remark elsewhere. I’m curious as to what sorts of solid evidence/arguments there really are, because I’m in the dark on this one. I normally try to avoid these sorts of discussions on here because they’re so easy to get sucked into, but I welcome all mature and sincere debate from all sides. :)
Good point about inconsistency with mining vs. Drilling, but I would argue that perhaps further caution with mining isn’t necessarily a bad idea either. Has the cessation of drilling hurt the people of the gulf? I’ll admit I’m a bit I’ll-informed with that part of it all.

I wouldn’t call him evil, just ill mannerd. He has no regard to the people of the gulf. Not bad enough that an oil rig caught fire, killed 11 men, and ruin the fishing waters around the gulf. He stopped drilling for 6 months to find ways to make drilling safer. Its BULL**IT. How many times have coal miners had accidents that left 11 or more people dead. They still mine. I understand environmentallyl effects of the oil in the water. I’m living with it every day. Instead of cleaning the shit or stepping aside and letting the Governors of the states affected, he has put up red tape and have kill any hopes of keeping the oil contained.. I really think he in Washington getting a big old laugh of the Stupid Americans

When will Republicans field a Presidential candidate that can actually win a high school debate?

Mccain nope
W. Bush nope
Palin nope
Jindal nope
Romney Republicans won’t nominate him
Huckabee nope
Jeb Bush: Haven’t heard him really speak but I don’t think he would
Certainly not Meg Whitman
The Virginia guy forgot his name might have a chance.
Obama toasted about 50 Republicans in that debate.

To be fair, some of the Republican candidates in 2008 were pretty good debaters. I thought Romney came off pretty well. I really liked Huckabee–I mean I disagree with his politics and his agenda, but he comes off as a good guy, smart enough, good self-deprecating sense of humor, etc.

Also consider that whoever the party leaders pick, he will get hours and hours of training and preparation. He might even wear an earpiece, like Bush did, so they can feed him lines.

Plus the ‘debates’ are not really debates, they are really no more than joint press conferences. Remember Sarah Palin up against Joe Biden? How hard would it be to win a debate from Joe Biden? Sarah actually said at one point ‘I’m not here to answer your questions’, and then went on with the four talking points they had laboriously made her memorize. Showing she obviously didn’t understand what debates were all about to begin with. 8^)

Whoever the Repubs come up with, he will spew the standard Republican line. He’ll compare himself to Reagan, he’ll promise to balance the budget and ban abortion and all the things Republican voters like. He can take advantage of Republicans’ short memories–for instance apparently most Republicans have already forgotten that the last three Republican presidents, once they actually got elected, totally ignored their promises.
