IS THIS EZIO WEARING ALTAIR’S OUTFIT OR IS THIS SIMPLY ALTAIR?

MY ANSWER:
The debate over this question has been UN-ending! So I quite literally wrote Ubisoft themselves. I got a response from an OFFICIAL Ubisoft representative and this was his answer in quotations!!! (My personal final thought after all of this? I don’t care who it is anymore. Heehee :D )

Hi There,

Honestly there is no hard and fast rule on who it is as it is a bonus item and not canon to the game. So if you wanted it to be Altair it can be Altair, if you believe it is Ezio dressed as Altair that works too.

Perhaps it is Jade Raymond, the AC producer, dressed as Ezio, pretending to be Altair :)

Who here would be interested in attending a real life debate with regulars in this section?

Posted by admin on March 9th, 2010 and filed under how to debate | 9 Comments »

How interesting would it be if some of us met up and got to debate live all our different points of view with a moderator to ensure equal talk time, maybe with an audience to feed questions to a panel of different beliefs and varied points of view.

What do you think?

Honestly, I would really rather just party with some of the folks who I more or less agree with. Emphasis on fun rather than debate.

How come in every debate point for point Creationism vs Evolution – Evolution always wins?

Posted by admin on March 7th, 2010 and filed under how to debate | 46 Comments »

What is it about Evolution vs Creationism that in every single debate Evolution always wins? Even the 1920 Scopes Monkey Trial, despite the $100 fine, culturally Evolution won.

Evolution has been winning and will continue to win.

Is it because people who believe in Creationism have still not to this day produced one single piece of credible scientific empirical evidence?

God has always been denied by men.Man has always exulted himself above God.And yet all men still die and God still is.
He who writes the books controls the reality of men.

How not to debate

Posted by admin on March 7th, 2010 and filed under how to debate | 25 Comments »

brute action, dont try this at home…..

Debate is a broader form of argument than logical argument, since it includes persuasion which appeals to the emotional responses of an audience, and rules enabling people to discuss and decide on differences, within a framework defining how they will interact.Informal debate is a common occurrence, but the quality and depth of a debate improves with knowledge and skill of its participants as debaters. Deliberative bodies such as parliaments, legislative assemblies, and meetings of all sorts engage in debates. The outcome of a debate may be decided by audience vote, by judges, or by some combination of the two.

How do creationists debate?

Posted by admin on March 5th, 2010 and filed under how to debate | 18 Comments »

I have never really seen a uniform Theory of Creation.
I have Never really seen substantial evidence to support creation.
Usually I just see attacks on the viability of Evolution,
but disproving Evolution still does not prove creation.

Did I miss something?
Can anyone cite the argument rather than just bible
verses and linking websites with no peer review??
Is there something more than
"I believe…." because "The Bible says…"?

"God said it.
I believes it.
That settles it."

That’s pretty much the bulk of the creationist argument.

How long has the debate over marijuana legalization/ research been going on?

Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under how to debate | 6 Comments »

I have to write a persuasive essay in my english class and my topic is whether marijuana should be legalized. One of my research questions is how long has this debate been going on? I’ve seen papers dating back to 1996. If anyone can provide a source, that would be great, thanks!

Since 1935, when they criminalized the possession and sale of it. 1996? come on have you not thought about the ’60’s at all? There was one group that mailed several hundred thousand joints to random NYC citizens with a note that said "you are now in possession of marijuana and are in violation of the law." in an attempt to show people the stupidity of the anti-marijuana laws. Legalization of marijuana has been vary prevalent since the 60’s. I would start there and work my way to the present. Also I would include how it could help lighten the countries dependance on trees for our paper supply. Hemp makes good strong paper, rope, and cloth, and it is a renewable resource. Also I would include data from the several scientific studies done on marijuana and show that practically every negative stereotype that goes along with marijuana and its consumption is basically a scare tactic at heart and has little if any scientific evidence backing it up. One day the world will wake up and realize "hey, today we should wake and bake" and the world will smile and fire it up.

How many rapes per year in the United States of America?

Posted by admin on February 27th, 2010 and filed under how to debate | 7 Comments »

I am in 7th grade doing a abortion debate and wanted to know this information.

According to UCR (the FBI’s crime stats), there were 92,455 rapes in the US in 2006.

I asked this question earlier but…..When does it go from a debate to just plain hating on different players?

Posted by admin on February 25th, 2010 and filed under how to debate | 6 Comments »

I heard people talking about top players in the NBA. I know a lot of people think Kobe is better or Lebron is better. But when you start throwing in random names it just shows that you are a hater. Example, I heard on two occasions people say:

Danny Granger is better than Lebron James……..whoever said this is just a hater. You can’t honestly believe this…lol

Dirk Nowitzki is better than Kobe & Lebron…..I like Dirk, but don’t throw him under the bus to show how much of a hater you are.
I know i<3kirk hinrich CHITOWN BULLS but that was EARLY in the day…lol
Jamaican Man (Jericho, 6x Champ)…I didn’t mean to ruffle your feathers lil man….lol

Debating is a formal method of interactive and representational argument through logical consistency, factual accuracy and some degree of emotional appeal to the audience.

Hate, on the other hand, is an intense feeling of dislike.

Example: Debate – Kobe Bryant is a great scorer, but Lebron can play at least 4 positions and score well. We all love versatility don’t we? (Factual statements’ some emotional appeal to support)

Hate – Lebron sucks! (Obvious untruth, bias based on one’s opinion)

So the difference is simple. Debates are based on facts, while hate is an emotion…

How to be persuasive in a debate?

Posted by admin on February 21st, 2010 and filed under how to debate | 2 Comments »

(persuasive means convincent)…..ITS URGENT!

1. Know the strong points of your own argument and communicate them clearly.
2. Know the strong points of your opponents arguments, and know how to discredit the arguments effectively.
3. Keep your segments short and to the point, but also be ready to give real examples when needed.

These are some main steps to follow that should help.
