The weakness of …
The weakness of Armenism shows through on Martin and the host. To say that you must coorpate to accept christ is a work…
Romans 9:16
16It does not, therefore, depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.
John 6:29
Jesus answered, “The WORK OF GOD is this: to believe in the one he has sent.”
Acts 13:48
48When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and honored the word of the Lord; and all who were appointed for eternal life believed.
If Jesus was son of …
If Jesus was son of god then who is marry ??
Jesus= son of marry
There is no relationship between god and marry, however god created her like us.
Also if you say Jesus was son of god
What about the Jewish people as Jesus was from among the Jew? (Jesus was a messenger, to guide the Jews yet they disbelieved in him)
You are giving some sort of supernatural being to the Jews because Jesus family tree is the jews
Luther not only …
Luther not only removed those 7 books from the Old Testament, but also declared Hebrews, James, Jude, and Revelation as “less-canonical” and moved them to the back of his Bible.
How could he be so right in removing the 7 books from the OT, yet deny the authenticity of those 4 other NT books?
Its also worth …
Its also worth mentioning that the first print-type book that was ever published, the Gutenberg Bible [1453], had all 46 books in her old testament.
The church has no …
The church has no official position on Mary being co-redeemer. But, most Catholics believe it because when we say “co-redeemer”, we mean she cooperated with God’s plan to redeem humanity by agreeing to bear Christ (Luke 1:38). We are all similarly called to be co-redeemers with the one true redeemer. The “co” does not mean equal to; the “co” means with.
“you answer that …
“you answer that with legalistic crap which won’t mean a bit of when u stand before the ALMIGHTY GOD.”
Now this is interesting. I don’t agree, but let’s look at what you’re saying. When I stand before God, if I truthfully say to Him, “Lord, I place my faith in you alone as my one savior. When I knelt before that statue of Mary, you were reading my heart, so you know that I was not worshipping her but expecting that we would share our prayers together to you.” Would my FAITH be enough?
“So basically there …
“So basically there is no monstrance in the bible.”
I’ll agree to that. But let’s clarify what a monstrance is. A monstrance is a display that holds the eucharist–the piece of communion that becomes Christ. The scriptures I quoted attest to that.
I’m researching …
I’m researching that question. Its definately an interesting question and one that I will need research futher.
Of course I find …
Of course I find the birth and death of Jesus as significant. But to celebrate those occurances on pagan holidays (Christmas=Saturnalia and Easter=Ishtar or Astarte) is strictly forbidden in the book of Jeremiah where God COMMANDS not to take on the ways of the HEATHEN.
Where does it say …
Where does it say mary is a co-redeemer. The bible says there is one mediator between God and men and that is the man Jesus Christ.
So basically there …
So basically there is no monsterance in the bible. You answered the bow to idols and it didn’t mean anything. You bow to graven images and idols and that is idolatry in the bible. You are commanded not to in scripture but you answer that with legalistic crap which won’t mean a bit of when u stand before the ALMIGHTY GOD.
“Oh and why did the …
“Oh and why did the catholics choose to add books to their bible (vulgate).”
The six books not recognized in Protestant books? I notice you didn’t answer billjkahn’s question about what books were included in the first edition of the King James Bible. The answer is: all of them. The original King James Bible included all of the books recognized by the Catholic Church.
How do you know that all of the books in your Bible are inspired by God, and that none of the inspired books were left out?
“where Jesus said …
“where Jesus said to celebrate easter or christmas?”
They’re celebrations about specific important tenets of our faith. Do you deny that it was significant that God was BORN, taking the form of a vulnerable human? Do you deny that it was significant that God, after being crucified, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven? I doubt you do. Why would you not celebrate it?
“Show me in the …
“Show me in the bible where Christ Jesus bowed to a monsterance”
The monstrance holds Jesus Christ through the eucharist host; that is why we bow before it.
John 6:35-66. The Jews doubt they can eat Jesus in 6:52. In 6:66, they leave because they cannot believe it.
Paul agrees. 1 Corinthians 11:27,29. The first Christians agreed. Martin Luther agreed (though he had a mistaken understanding of it) and argued with Calvin about it.
I already answered your claim about “bow to idols”.
“Jesus said call no …
“Jesus said call no man father yet you call the pope holy father (isn’t God the holy father??).”
Paul called himself the father of his believers in several, SEVERAL verses. You could google search this, but the best example is 1 Corinthians 4:14-15: “For though you have countless guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel.”
Paul became a father only through his teachings in Christ Jesus, not by his own merit. So do priests.
“where Jesus said …
“where Jesus said to make statues to mary and “venerate” (code word for worship) them.”
Catholics don’t worship statues; you can read our catechism or any other document to verify that. We join in prayer with these saints in heaven, and the statues work as focus images (like photographs of loved ones). It is based on the believe that a person is still allowed to pray for others after entering heaven. Scripture never implies otherwise.
“where Jesus said …
“where Jesus said Mary is a co-redemptrix?”
She is co-redemptrix in that she prays for our salvation, as do all saints in heaven, as should believers on earth. You and I are also called to be co-redeemers through our prayer.
No it can’t show me …
No it can’t show me where Jesus said Mary is a co-redemptrix? Show me where Jesus said to make statues to mary and “venerate” (code word for worship) them. Jesus said call no man father yet you call the pope holy father (isn’t God the holy father??). Show me in the bible where Christ Jesus bowed to a monsterance or told people to bow to idols. Show me where Jesus said to celebrate easter or christmas? Hmm. Oh and why did the catholics choose to add books to their bible (vulgate).
2000 yrs I meant to …
2000 yrs I meant to write of course.
denominations; all …
denominations; all interpreting it at their own whim. ASK THEM..What does 1 Tim 3:15 indicate is the rule of faith? NO PROPHECY OF SCRIPTURE IS MADE BY PRIVATE INTERPRETATION..(2Pet 3:16) Ask Protestants where the Bible came from? When was it codified? What books were included in the first edition of the King James Bible? If Protestants would lose their prejudice against Catholics and study the History of the Catholic Church which can be traced back to Christ maybe then they will know the truth
Yes, there has been …
Yes, there has been ONE CHURCH for over 200 yrs, founded by Christ who gave the Keys To The Kingdom Of Heaven, saying, “What thou bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, whatsoever thou loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” The Church came before the Bible, the Apostles were sent by Christ to PREACH and TEACH all nations, which they did for 500 yrs before the Bible was even started to be put together. Ask PROTESTants who gave them authority to interpret the Bible, with 30,000 different
i dont think prots …
i dont think prots will go to or anything, but there has been one church for 2000+ years, and thousands of prot churches. ONE CHRIST ONE CHURCH!
r u catholic?
r u catholic?
prots united? …
prots united? theres thousands of protestant churches but for 2000 years there has been ONE CATHOLIC CHURCH, just like there is ONE CHRIST.
You are saved By …
You are saved By Grace through Faith….And Not a Faith that you are the author of But a Faith that Jesus is the author of. You are saved Justified once and for all by the Blood of Christ through the Cross alone. You are continually sanctified in your walk.
The mixing of the Power of the Cross with the man made works for Salvation Nullifies the Power of the Cross.
When you are Born again you produce fruits for Christ is in you. These fruits do not add to your salvation or keep it.
