How can I debate that junk food is an essential part of our diet?

I have a debate tomorrow and i have to fight for the fact that junk food is a part of our diet. please give me pointers on why you think junk food is a part of our diet.

Remember the five food groups. Fats is one of them.

  3. I vehemently disagree with the notion that junk food is essential. That idea is pure idiocy. Our bodies are delicately made, like a fine race car. The idea that sludge will help is race car is just as idiotic. Junk food by definition is junk, garbage, worthless. Let’s stop idiotic thinking and start using the brains God gave us.

  4. Tell them that in your cult, obesity is a status symbol. The easiest way to obesity is to constantly eat junk food, so it is essential in your Rosie O’Donnell-endorsed cult. Otherwise, you’re pretty much screwed. Unless, of course, they kill you because you are in a cult. Then you would be even more screwed. Looks like a pretty bad point to take in a debate. Maybe you should argue the importance of shrews in an inner-city basketball gang. It sounds easier to me.

  6. My personal opinion is that all food has some amount of good in it. It might not be great for you but if you had to survive on it then you could. All food is ok to eat provided that you do it in moderation and use junk food as treats or party food on special occasions. If you had a diet of only cheese and lettuce for a month, both of which are healthy foods, you would soon be very ill. Even junk food has componants that our bodies require to some degree. To eat positively healthy all the time at every minute and at every meal every day of our lives does not mean we will be healthy. Good luck

  7. You can say that junk food has nutrition (fat, protein) that our body needs but the only drawback is that it has a higher proportion of fat or sugar per serving. That makes it easier to be obese if one overeats but other than the imbalanced nutrition, we still need nutritions from junk food. Hamburgers have protein and fat but because of the high content, we must limit our consumption and balance it out with other healthier food in the same day. So, junk food is not necessarily bad.
