How do I start my introduction in a debate?

I am doing debate on a book called " The Chrysalids".The point the debate is on is that "David and his group would adapt their life well in Sealand". Its hard to start an introduction for this.
PEOPLE PLEASE HELP ME OUT!!

Talk about how one of the main principles of life is the ability to adapt and just say it really angry. Or just growl and grit your teeth for a couple minutes to get everyone’s attention. Fear is respect.
