How good or bad doe an A- in debate freshman year look on your transcript?

It would be nice if you could answer from past experiences, especially if you have taken or take debate.

First of all, welcome to the debate community. Good to have you.

Now, most colleges feel that debate is an extra-curricular subject, and therefore, don’t care about it that much. However, having a bad grade in any class can and will hurt your grade. Fortunately for you, and A- is an exceptional grade.

It doesn’t look bad at all. Most colleges look at debate as a secondary subject, and an A- is still a very good grade. You should be fine.
