Who would win in a debate between the smartest Christian and atheist?
You have two people, one a Christian, one an atheist. Both are the most intelligent of those two philosophies, they never make a logical fallacy and argue fluently and flawlessly, having extensively researched their belief/non-belief.
You put them together in an arbitrated debate. The question: who would win?
It’s a silly hypothetical scenario, I know, but just go with it, and tell me what you guys think and who would win if this situation were possible, and two such people existed.
Debates exist only to sway the audience. Most people are going to be swayed to agree with positions they already hold, and since most people are believers, the results of the debate are predictable. In "debates" between totally unprepared, illogical Christians, and prepared atheists, the Christians tend to win even when they make no sense, because it’s a popularity contest. Assuming for the sake of argument, however, that the Christian never makes a logical fallacy … he wouldn’t be saying much.
Who would vote on who won? Neither side would concede the other won.

The Christian would instantly lose. Christianity is itself a logical fallacy and is flawed in many ways. No contest.

Neither one can prove their worldview to the other, so they’d likely leave believing what they did going in.

Until evidence of any god can be clearly laid out and proven there is not much of a debate.

If neither side used a logical fallacy, I’d suspect the atheist would win if those judging were neutral to begin with…there aren’t a whole lot of scientific arguments supporting the Christian side. Of course, if the judges already held opinions on the matter, the chances of them being dislodged are remote.

I’m a Wiccan, I’d say the Atheist! Christianity’s doctrine is mostly man made dogma!

Atheism isn’t a philosophy, and it carries no belief
And so the argument would have to have a topic in which either side would have opinionated responses from whoever the judges were
1. What has proved to be the easiest way to control people? Religion
2. What provides the most realistic representation of the world? Atheism
3. What is harmful? Religion
4. Who won’t ever concede? Atheists have nothing to concede lol

you can not possibly win a debate, when one guy keeps saying : god did it.
you would ask, HOW, and he would keep saying, he just did it, he is god.
thats btw, the result of ALL those debates.
