    This was a bad …
    This was a bad debate by both. Both interrupted so much that I couldn’t understand much. I like Chomsky very much, but he really interrupted very much here, not just Buckley.

  2. @jakefree24 A lot. …
    @jakefree24 A lot. Bu, how many of those groups were led by the US? How many were steered by the American people? For the most part, we can’t help what somebody else does. We DO have power over what WE do. Look at it individualistically. I only have power over what I do. I can’t control others. Nor do I have any RIGHT to control others, short of self-defense.

  3. @Craigipedia How …
    @Craigipedia How many people did the Soviets, Chicoms, Khmer Rouge, North Koreans, Castroites, etc manage to kill off in an incredibly short time, while squeezing out all freedom and putting most of their people into basically controlled work camps?

    I’m sorry. But 5:53, what a contemptuous dick.

    “may i complete a …
    “may i complete a sentence?”

  6. The fact that …
    The fact that Buckley was able to have Chomsky on his telvised program without getting completly embarrassed shows just how truly great of a propagandist he was.

    Yes Chomsky clearly won the debate, but to the average indoctrinated citizen im sure it would appear that Buckley won.

  7. buckley is not able …
    buckley is not able to entertain the intellect of Noam Chomsky.

    @lifeemusicelife I …
    @lifeemusicelife I don’t have to be read & researched… I am following Chomsky here!!! I just need to make it up…:-)

    Buckley’s approach …
    Buckley’s approach was totally diversionary in both halves of the debate. Being that he brought Chomsky on the program to challenge his positions brought fourth in his book, I’d say that because Chomsky emerges unscathed, he is the winner by default.

    @briandpate Yea, I …
    @briandpate Yea, I suppose when you have a completely biased education, Chomsky’s history seems made up, but I’d love for you to assert that you’re better read/reasearched as he is.

  11. WTF iS WRONG WITH …
    WTF iS WRONG WITH SILLY WILLY.

  12. @GreatDylan420 …
    @GreatDylan420 that’s because he’s anti-communist. he has no reason to be anti-communist, as is the case with almost everyone who is unilaterally opposed to communism, so he just clouds it with interjections trying to distract his opponent

  13. Nice post. Thanks …
    Nice post. Thanks for this. Buckley debates with skill and thinks the world of himself for it. Chomsky, on the other hand, is a principled historian, and anyone can quickly see the difference. Makes riveting TV. Think of having a program like this today? Funny, isn’t it?

  14. @themange59 It …
    @themange59 It takes the internet to remind you how much the modern mainstream media (left and right both) regard the average viewer as semi-retarded.

    When I first watched this video by DLing it off Gnutella I didn’t even understand it, now I found out it was the 70’s equivalent of Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher from the 90s with 10 x’s the IQ points….. No wonder we’re so screwed

  15. it’s a shame …
    it’s a shame debates like this don’t happen anymore, at least not in the mainstream media. I think talk like this would go WAY over most people’s heads though, which is more the problem than the media itself.

    its sad that you …
    its sad that you dont see debates as deep and profound like this anymore on television, but thanx to the web we can sure as see them all we want online….profound discusion scattered with advertisements all around

  17. @irgunlehistern …
    @irgunlehistern Chomsky is far from Marxist. Calling Chomsky marxist is like saying Americans are jewish because there are a few jews and we’re not muslim.

    then again, i shouldn’t be feeding a troll

  18. irgunlehistern on June 20th, 2010 at 4:50 am

    Also, does anyone …
    Also, does anyone else see the resemblance of Chomsky to Norman Bates? Uncanny!!!

  19. irgunlehistern on June 20th, 2010 at 4:50 am

    @briandpate Debate …
    @briandpate Debate & Logic??? LOL!!! I can debate like Chomsky any day of the week!! How? Make stuff up on the fly!!! Chomsky is good at two things… Linguistics & Making up History to fit and Defend his Marxist Ideology

    @bkishar Study up …
    @bkishar Study up on the facts… and you can study up on Irgun as well… it seems to me that you need more education little boy.

  21. @didieu72
    Your …

    @didieu72
    Your brain function is brilliantly subtle, enjoying the recession?

  22. @irgunlehistern

    @irgunlehistern
    Study up on what, the Irgun terrorists?

  23. Buckley is a tool. …
    Buckley is a tool. Chomsky is schooling him with debate and logic 101. Meanwhile Buckley is trying to push the idea that it’s okay to invade a country and dictate the type of government they have if you really really think you have a good reason. How anti-American of him.

  24. irgunlehistern on June 20th, 2010 at 4:50 am

    @bkishar LOL!!! …
    @bkishar LOL!!! Fascism?!?! Study up retard!
