I asked this question earlier but…..When does it go from a debate to just plain hating on different players?
I heard people talking about top players in the NBA. I know a lot of people think Kobe is better or Lebron is better. But when you start throwing in random names it just shows that you are a hater. Example, I heard on two occasions people say:
Danny Granger is better than Lebron James……..whoever said this is just a hater. You can’t honestly believe this…lol
Dirk Nowitzki is better than Kobe & Lebron…..I like Dirk, but don’t throw him under the bus to show how much of a hater you are.
I know i<3kirk hinrich CHITOWN BULLS but that was EARLY in the day…lol
Jamaican Man (Jericho, 6x Champ)…I didn’t mean to ruffle your feathers lil man….lol
Debating is a formal method of interactive and representational argument through logical consistency, factual accuracy and some degree of emotional appeal to the audience.
Hate, on the other hand, is an intense feeling of dislike.
Example: Debate – Kobe Bryant is a great scorer, but Lebron can play at least 4 positions and score well. We all love versatility don’t we? (Factual statements’ some emotional appeal to support)
Hate – Lebron sucks! (Obvious untruth, bias based on one’s opinion)
So the difference is simple. Debates are based on facts, while hate is an emotion…
i already answered this.. too lazy to retype what i wrote

Many people don’t have the maturity to partake in an "honest debate" so they resort to "hating" or insulting the other player which their "favorite" player has been compared to. Why I usually never answer "Who is better" questions; because it always just turns into a hatefest.

Nobody hates on Kobe or LeBron (WHEN THEY SAY SOMEONE ELSE IS BETTER). You LA kobe jocks just think that if someone thinks a player is better than Kobe, that means hate. EXCUSE ME.. its not, its just an opinion and people like you and LA fans need to get over it and move on.
Whats really wrong around here is that I am told to change my opinion and not to say Dirk is better. Where do ignorant LA fans get off telling me to change my opinion. It wouldn’t be my opinion then, it would be a lie. I have good reasons and facts to show why "I" believe what I believe. If you choose to ignore or disagree, fine, but don’t call someone a hater or tell them to change there view point just because you don’t agree.
I think its petty, small minded, and ignorant to tell someone to change their opinion. LA fans will just have to get used to the FACT that Kobe being the best is ONLY AN OPINION AND ALWAYS WILL BE!
I’m not the only person that thinks Dirk is better btw- I think some people are sheltered to view points that only enhance their own opinion.
I’m entitled to an opinion and I will keep my opinion, thank you.
EDIT: Its mostly LA fans that take the time to disrespect other players just because they rival their team or player. There are some people I have talked to that don’t want to come here and say what they truly believe on which player is better because they don’t want to be verbally assaulted by LA fans and that is unfortunate. But I’m not one of those people. If I believe something, I will say it, no matter how many people disagree, because ITS MY OPINION.

Because hating is fun. You’re hating on haters, which makes you a hater, too. Don’t be a hypocrite.
