How does this fit into a political debate?
One of the liberal clowns running the debate asked meg whitman "your political adds are viewed by many as being misleading how do you feel about this?" After Meg responded she turned to Jerry Brown "How are you satisfied with your add that shows megs nose growing like pinocios nose?"
That’s not a political debate that’s partisan questioning. Who ever put on this political debate should be ashamed of them selves for such partisanship.
It seems that you have answered your own question.

It doesn’t fit.
It’s like pollsters asking, "Do you think African Americans are lazy" and then the pollster is shocked by the answers to the question they asked.

So what are you saying? Are you saying it’s all pre-arranged like a professional wrestling match?
Are you saying there’s no respect for truth in politics?
Are you saying it’s all just for show, and there’s no real substance? It’s all just a game being played by the ultra wealthy power elite, and we’re just the pawns?
I’m glad you’re finally catching on.

I didnt see it that way. I thought the ad was embarrassing and he did not respond, just as Meg didnt respond when the panel said that fact check found her assertions to be untrue. Thats ok because everyone exaggerates in TV ads. Thats not important. Jerry Brown is not the same liberal from the 70s. He even said his lifestyle is different. He was open about who he is. She was coy, well rehearsed and never said much about the plain people of California. I trust a Democrat to help the average person. Whitman cannot get rid of the taxes. That is all Republicans ever want to do, but you need taxes to run a state with. They do have to streamline municipal pensions and salaries. This is not the 1960s where there were plenty of good paying jobs and benefits for everyone. Jerry is aware of that. He doesnt care about money for himself. Whitman is by nature driven by money.

I agree the questions did not tell me what I wanted to know. At least by finally getting to listen to them (stupid questions and all), I know to vote for Brown.
Whitman lost my vote when she touted being tough-on-crime which we know turns into dumb-on-crime and is bankrupting California. We need someone smart-on-crime. Neither talked about prison reform and the money that would save, but her answers showed she knows little about criminal justice and incarceration systems.
She compared California unfavorably to Texas and apparently likes that they kill people more often than and without as much investigation as is required in California. (You may remember Texas Governor Rick Perry allowed an execution to go forward even after new evidence showed the man was probably innocent. Then the governor stopped the investigation that would likely have proven innocence.)
Brown talked about what he would do about the water problem, but Whitman only lamented that some legislation did not pass.
