Truth about Politics: often pretend to disagree. Political decisions, manifesto promises, government policies, controversy, political debate, consensus, discussion and media coverage.

http://www.globalchange.com Most politicians in most democratic countries agree on most things. Just look at how rare it is for a new government to undo legislation passed by the previous administration. Despite all the political posturing, the real debates are not about differences in manifesto promises (often overtaken anyway by global events), but about who has the most competent and experienced leadership team. Most energy in politics today is about single issues such as Iraq, genetically modified food, stem cell research or global warming. Politicians will only have a chance of recovering respect if they start keeping to the truth which is that consensus rules and the opposition are on the whole sensible people with decent policies. Future of political parties, capitalism, socialism, middle ground, third way, liberal democrats, conservatives, labour, conservative party, green party, republicans, democrats, presidential election, America. Parliament and democracy. Comment by Dr Patrick Dixon, futurist, leading authority on global trends and conference speaker.

  1. There’s a growing …
There’s a growing consensus because world governments are controlled by the consent of the financial systems not the consent of the people.

The ‘left-right’ dichotomy is alive and well in the US. They use it to obfuscate the people into perpetual dizziness while the government continues their best efforts to crash our economy.

Single-issue activism is feel-good politics because there’s nothing else left to feel good about.

Our leaders don’t care about who we want to run the country…

you could argue that politics is merely adistraction for the masses, to distract them from the real ruling classes and elite. Think about it, it’s all just one big pantomime; smoke and mirrors.

David Icke has been saying this for years! all Democractic counties are one party states. Thats the reason why we are always being told that we are free, people will not rebel if they think they are free. In Democracies all you have is willing slaves! We are being lead by the nose towards a new world order and there is nothing that can be done to stop it, 1984- its an orwellian nightmare!

I agree with you on a few of your points, I support Right Wing politics. But seeing as the conservatives are too afraid of being right wing these days i go with UKIP.

Read my book: “The Truth about Westminster” – I interviewed a large number of politicians and have talked to many others since. Interesting that the vast majority of people I have talked with in TV, radio or press journalism, who report on politics, agree with what I am saying here.
