What happenedin the US? A student asks an unscripted question at a political debate and is ‘tazered’?
I would like to know why the fashit do-nut consumer (no criticism of do-nuts intended!) did it and what his name is.
I just saw this on Spanish TV. The Spanish, from an old dictatorship, were shocked and asked ‘what is happening in the land of the free?’
Are your police like the London England MET..Liars(per their own complaints dept) and out of control?
STRANGE FRUIT INDEED. Will we see Democrats swinging like you used to do with ‘negros’?
Interesting replies so far. My comments : Spaniards are not illegal immigrants. Life is too good here. Spain has an illegal immigrant problem.
Florida. Who is the governor? OOOOPS! not Bush?
I am amazed at some of the police comments. Obviously universities in the US learned nothing from Kent State. Kill the educated bastards! Sting up some more ’strange fruit’ or is it queer fruits? God bless America!
They had enuff police there to take him out. The taser was for the camera.

Greetings. what is happening? we are in the beginning of a political coup and our police are just beginning to flex their muscles as they find out that the leaders support any suppression of the people. we no longer have rule of law here. we have rule of the tazer or the billy club. concentration camps are being built all over the country. interesting times.

"The land of the free"… is not the land of the free at all… USA is a fascist country… this incident along with many others should clue people in…..
The USA are working under a guise of freedom… but the bars are there… problem is that many.. (the majority) can’t see them… when the time comes that ( the majority) do see the bars.. it will most likely be too late..
when a citizen no longer is free to speak…. it is called fascism.. whether they like it or not….

The guy went over his time limit. He was warned. Even after shutting off the mic, he refused to relinquish his spot. When the police tried to remove him, he resisted. After he kept resisting, they tasered him as a last resort.
Most people are shocked about this. I thought it was pretty funny.

He was actually asking a ‘democrat’ the questions!

It seems the governments media barons are already rallying to the cause and getting there story in first to show how responsible the police were in the face of a ‘riot’ !
EDIT … ‘Dart’. It was Kerry who asked him to speak and the police only stepped in when it was obvious the question was turning against him, it had nothing to do with him being out of time.
And yes, he was resisting arrest, or as the media puts it ‘refusing to co-operate with a request’. But when did it become legal in the USA to man handle someone out of a building for asking a question he had been told he could ask?
He had every right to resist …

Well you see he tried to practice "free speech"… when will these people learn that there is no such thing in America and many other nations, even to an extent here in the UK

I am guessing you were watching the same video I did. The forum was open to questions and this gentleman came up and asked his question after making a statement. He was told by one officer that he only gets one question and had to let the next person have their turn. Instead he says that he was going to ask a few more questions after educating the audience on his questions’ topic. That was when the microphone was taken away and he then started making a scene and cause a big commotion.
He was then being escorted out and tried to break away from the police and inadvertently elbowed and struck two of them in his flailing. At that time they took him to the ground to hand cuff him and he became resistant by not complying with being handcuffed and was tasered after being warned that he would before the Taser was even drawn. He continued to resist and got zapped.
Of course the Spanish language TV news will spin this in a negative view due to the current resolve by the US to limit illegal immigration and strengthen legal immigration requirements.
If I can get a copy of the report, I will post it here. It may not be available for a few days.

7 years law enforcement
I have seen the video and am shocked by what transpired, shocked and dismayed on so many levels.
First, by the overt brutality displayed by the Florida University police. Hopefully, this young man has retained legal counsel and will sue the university and receive a handsome settlement.
Secondly, leading up to the arrest and tazing, the reaction of those chairing the event in trying to quash a perfectly legitimate and well-articulated question by an obviously concerned and passionate student who has come to the right conclusion that there is but 1 degree of separation (or less) between Republicans and Democrats.
But what I found most troubling about the entire video, was accepting at the very end of the incident, when the you man was prone and about to be tazed, not a single person in the room – not one – came to his defense as he was brutalized by these thug-like police. Only AFTER he was tazed did one young woman protest his treatment.
I feel very badly for the future of the US.

When the student’s time was over, he refused to leave. They turned off his mic, he refused to leave. Police asked him to leave, and he refused.
Then they arrested him, and he resisted arrest. That’s why he was tasered.
He wasn’t there to ask a question, he was there to disrupt the event.

Actually that whack job- got what he deserved for resisting arrest but it gets better- he pulled that screaming fit for the benefit of his own entertainment.
IT WAS A PRANK- I hope the goofy SOB gets fined thousands and John Kerry sues his butt .

The taser was another example of police abuse in the U.S. They had him under control – there was no need for it.

The Police in America are there to "enforce" the law.
Unfortunately here in the UK the police are to"keep the peace". We could learn a thing or two and take the streets back from the pathetic chavs and dole wallers who square up and say "You think you’re hard because you’re in uniform.
It appears as though the male was given several opportunities to comply. He probably will not learn a lesson and be turned or turn himself into some sort of martyr.

Moral of story, COMPLY OR BE SUBJECT TO FORCE
This is a quote from a brother in arms,
A Sergeant in Illinois
"I appreciate your point of view however, I would like to clarify a couple of your arguments from a police officers perspective. First, even though he is “still a kid” kids are very capable of hurting and killing others. Look at school shootings (mass murder) over the past ten years should easily convince you of that. Second, you did not see a threat to Senator Kerry but I did. Watch the video again and notice that the student was between the Senator and the police at one point. Meaning he had a clear shot at rushing the podium unabated to the Senators location. The student was obviously emotionally imbalanced and his future behavior could not be predicted by the officers at the scene. Keep in mind during the presidential election, Senator Kerry enjoyed the security and protection of the United States Secret Service. I will not speak on their behalf, but I’m fairly certain in the same situation, the USSS agents would have done the same thing except a lot faster and without apology. Third, of course he has freedom of speech, up into the point he was given a law order which you acknowledge he was issued. Once he was given that lawful order it was his responsibility to comply. He did not and the officers escalated their force by placing hands on him and remove him from the auditorium. Again, the officers did an excellent job. As the student was being escorted up the ramp he pushed back against the officer using his left forearm and hand (review the video). The reason five officers jumped on top of the student was for his safety. The alternative could have been one officer having to escalate his use of force to striking with his hands, using pepper spray or a baton. You do not see any officer take a swing at the student because they had the numbers. Now you will argue something to the effect of “Well if they had the numbers, why did they use the Taser?” I would answer good question and excellent observation. Once the officers were on top of the student he failed to comply with verbal commands and resisted arrest. There were NOT ENOUGH officers there to control the violent actions of the student and the Taser was deployed. You will notice the student was raised to his feet once he was handcuffed and was talking just fine to the officers. He did not have any long term effects from being stunned by the Taser. I know firsthand of the Taser’s effectiveness because I am a certified Taser instructor and have taken a full shot from the taser and was fine moments afterward. The alternative to the Taser would be blunt force trauma like a punch or a strike which could result in a bruise or a broken bone. Your assertion that what you saw looks “hilarious” (which you misspelled by the way) and “takes away the integrity part of being a LEO” is both an uneducated opinion on your part but more importantly, hurtful to the men and women who put themselves in harms way on a daily basis, to protect you and your freedom of speech. Lucky for you police officers have thick skin and are a very forgiving bunch. I hope this clarified our position on this issue…"

The tape you saw was taken totally out of context because you did not see all that led up to the police involvement. The guy was asked repeatedly by the police to stand down and he didn’t.
His hogging of the microphone was actually infringing on the right to free speech of the others in the room, because he was not giving them the chance to get up and ask their questions.
All the hysterics are fooling you too. People do that when they realize the only way of getting out of the mess they’ve made for themselves is to enlist pity from their audience. In places where tasers are not used, he’d have been pepper sprayed, and in some countries other than the U.S., he might have been SHOT. I am still trying to figure out which one of this little bastard’s "rights" was violated.

The guy was struggling with officers. They were right to use Taser to control the male and prevent being injured. He was pre-warned but continued to be violent.
