    In Kennesaw, GA they made it a law you MUST own a gun and keep it in your home. The burglary rate went down over 85%. Not all homeowners, abide by this law of course, but the criminals assume they do.

    The problem in Canada has to do with Quebec.

    English Canada votes a lot like the US 50/50 conservative or liberal. But Quebec always vote Liberal federally or Bloc (Quebec version of SSP or SNP) who are both leftists.

    So naturally we have a disproportional amount of left wing policies which don’t as you say make sense. I hope Quebec separates because they’re the rest of Canada up.

    i know, i was thinking of moving to canada too but the weapon laws are strange there, its like i can have a long barrel .44 magnum but i can’t have a flick knife, i’m a weapon collector so its not just guns that i want, and as for gun bans not working, i’m from england as i said, your preaching to the choir. but thanks for the reassurance, i couldn’t argue his point because i have never been to canada.

    Btw, Canada has slightly more restrictive laws on guns then the US. Only slightly.

    im glad to hear that gun control is working out for you guys in canada, unfortunately dispite our firm laws on guns, the system doesn’t seem to be working out for us here in the u.k, plus people with a legitimate reason to own a gun aren’t able to pursue there interest, whereas in france there gun laws are reasonable but not such that you could own anything, but you can have a nice collection, im moving to france but guns arent the only reason, our government is crap too.

If canada didn’t have gun laws there’d be way more people with guns, and much more gun homicides cuz the indians up here are blood and crip wannabe’s.     wow someone lives in a “PERFECT WORLD” with barney and gay telitubies. fist of all as a hunter and target shooter and a collector i must say that yes self protection is the only reason?? if this were the case the only guns people would have is pistols with lazer sights, flashlights, and 50 round clips that are fully auto. this is not the case since i dont evern own a pistol. i dont rely on my guns for protection i use them for recreation but im glad to know that they are there just in case

    I live in Canada and we have strict gun laws too. Sure criminals still get guns, anybody can get a gun anytime but theres consequences here. The system works obviously because the % of gun crime is way lower than the US. Put a 5 year prison term on somebody who has an illegal or unauthorized weapon and that will help too. Theres lots of ways to PREVEnt guns from being in the wrong hands. But letting anybody anytime legally own a weapon? bad idea from the start.

    I live in the UK which has the strictest gun laws in the world other than “communist countries” and let me tell you this, it is easy to a get a gun, I could walk to a pub with £500 and buy an Uzi with plenty of ammo. Criminals wont follow the rules and take the test thats why their called criminals!
