What is your opinion of the most recent Republican Debate on CNN on January 30th?
Who do you think did the best? The worst? What did they say to make you think this??
Just doing a little survey. Thanks to everyone for their help! ![]()
Bellatru… is right… i am a conservetive, and so far none of the other candidates have made more sence than Ron Paul.. i mean they have been fighting over how many more years we want to stay in iraq after a hundered more years… i mean that is propostorous… we have never been for war, untill recent years, and guess when did our economy, dollar, and our wallet started to go down the drain…
Ron Paul is the only one talking about freedom…
All the rest are telling you, with every word, how they are going to continue to enslave America…

think it was very bias.how can people know what all the candidates stand for if the don’t give them all the same questions and allow them all the same amount of time.. i know the first thing most of you say is this guy is for ron paul and is just mad[yes i am for ron paul],, bot the fact of the matter is all debates are like this rep or dem… everyone should be mad, debates should not be based on current popularity.. some of the best ideas ever came up with were not popular at first….ex.automobiles… people bias media like this takes away your right to change your mind on any candidate and your free will to choose based on your feelings on the issues,

I think Ron Paul did the best. In the few minutes they actually let him speak, he made the most sense and brought up some really valid points. He was the only one willing to debate about actual issues.(compared to McCain and Romney arguing between themselves about who would make a better president and who said what when). Ron Paul was the only one who said that we need to get out of Iraq.
I think both McCain and Romney did the worst. They avoided questions, talked for 5 minutes at a time, not even mentioning anything worth listening to. The moderators didn’t even stop them. Neith McCain nor Romney admitted that America is doing poorly right now. In fact, Romney commented on how Bush is doing a wonderful job right now. Both of them also spoke on how they wanted to stay in Iraq as long as needed(McCain thinks we might need to stay for a 100 years).
Huckabee also brought up some interesting points, but didn’t really expand on them much.
I think the whole debate was biased though and not even worth watching. It was just an argument between McCain and Romney. They didn’t even want to talk about actual policies. The moderators only asked them questions, completely ignoring Ron Paul and Huckabee. The whole debate just made me boycott CNN and convince others to do so as well.

Looking as objectively as possible, I think McCain came off as very smug and unappealing. Mitt Romney made a lot of good points, but stuttered a bit in his presentation. He obviously lets McCain get under his skin and I think he should just ignore him and keep his focus more to his own agenda. Ron Paul spoke well, but his ideas are too childish for me. There were a few moments of his speaking that actually scared me. Mike Huckabee spoke clearly, but still managed to get in his sarcastic jabs. I don’t like that. He did make some good points. I agree with his comments on the experience that comes from being a governor as being good preparation for the presidency. I have to admit that I am biased toward Mitt because of my knowledge and experience regarding the 2002 Olympics. He did such a fantastic job turning that around. My husband’s job takes us around the world and every comment I hear from people outside the US who attended those Olympics and compare them to others is always positive! I was just amazed at how he got in and got to work right along with everyone else. He never expects or asks for special treatment just because he’s "in charge." He seems to take the commitment of leadership very seriously and he’ll do what it takes to succeed. —- Sorry for getting off topic a little – but I guess we often take some bias in as we watch.
